Soothing words

Two words that describe my very recent past life before a sick note: moral harassment, since June 08.
It took me two weeks of no sleep, tiredness, anxiety and so on and so forth to bump into reality. I am not the bad person at the office, I am the victim of my bosses' madness and jealousy.
Still need time to re-build the mouse-in-me that loved working, that was lively and so on. But, identifying the harm is a first step. Got too hurt by the racist words, the slanderous terms on my curriculum, the violent words and insults...

Miaou

Oww. Too cute for words!
For cat lovers. See this!
Well, the photographer should pay a visit at home (Aix or Paris) to shoot my cats ;)

Seen: le futurisme à Paris

le futurisme, Umberto Boccioni, Stati d'animo, quelli che vanno 1911 courtesy The Moma, NY

Seen the exhibition at Centre Pompidou.
A bit disappointed by the circulation of the works of art. Thought they would come from prestigious places, and so on and so forth (NB: the exhibition is part of the Saison Culturelle program...). Quite a lot of them came actually from the Centre Pompidou itself. The major parts of the works exhibited came from Milano.
Apart from that, lovely pieces by Carra (I'm not sure of the spelling)
Loved these words heard in the exhibition, from an old lady: "this painting by Sonia Delaunay shines in the heart". True...

Armide @ Théâtre des Champs Elysées

Great. I'm just back from the TCE, seen Armide by Lully. Great great.
Somptuous settings, costumes, nice mise en scene by Robert Carsen.
An excellent way to put up with baroque music!
Critics in the French press aren't that good; i don't agree with them for once!

Cute commercial

一昨日の晩何食べた? is the title for this Soft Bank commercial.
The cats are too cute... and they look like me, some days, at the office ;)

Cute commercial: Soft Bank

Well, I used to be the one "researching on commercials" featuring Korean actors.
No, I did not switch to animals...
Good news though: Japanese commercials are gaining creativity these days, see how humorous these commercials for soft bank are!

Seoul connection

Nuit blanche was also a good occasion to see again Euna, good friend from Orchestra and Seoul times. Well, hadn't seen her for a year after Seoul, so there was a lot of chit chat/update.

Bollywood in Nuit Blanche

My first video, a bit of the Bollywood movie making in Nuit Blanche

Back from Nuit Blanche

Gu Dexin, projection sur la Tour Saint-Jacques Christian Boltanski, Franck Krawczyk et Jean Kalman, Gute Nacht, Musée d’art et d’histoire du judaïsme Probably the best installation seen during Nuit Blanche. Very poetic. Playing on perceptions with music and lights/snow. Lovely. Conducting to a world of dreams Anders Johansson, Forêt diaphane Centre Culturel Suédois Small but interesting installation. Saturday night teaser

Teaser.
So, my Saturday evening should be devoted to Nuit Blanche 2008, if I'm not dead out of tiredness...

Here's the Nuit Blanche ADs' interview:

Seen: Richard Avedon @ Jeu de Paume

Impressive. Reconciled for a while with Jeu de Paume...

A mouse tip: go to Jeu de Paume/Concorde on Tuesday evening, the last one of the month, entrance fee free for students ;)

Read: La brocante Nakano, Kawakachi Hiromi

Lovely novel.
I guess what people like in Asian litterature, and -specifically- in Japanese contemporary litterature, is that nonchalent, cute depiction of the everyday lives...

read: Ripoux à Zhengzou, Zhang Yu

Hilarious book. All about corruption in China, seen through two policemen. Two policemen flirting with law and disobeyment. The inner self of the policemen is even more interesting actually than their every day lives as policemen.
Seeds of revolution in Chinese writings? ;)

Seen: Quai Branly

If you like design, I recommend it.
Shows the bridge between popular art and design.
Pieces from big names in design (Noguchi, Perriand)

Very nice scenography, especially for the first foot steps in the exhibition... Won't tell more.
Quite impressive piece of work, very delicate. The good surprise of the day
