Back from uni, I was Rue de Rome. Just to buy a mute for my violin at first. Then. Well, stepped into La Flute de Pan. Ended up buying it. One of the scores I love. One of the scores that kept tickling my ears when I gave up the violin for a while. Hearing it on the radio, at random moments of the day, of the year, would wring my heart. The very moment when I would regret having given up the violin. Would see myself walking the streets of Seoul missing my instrument.
Now, there it is, the score that reconciliates me with the violin. Concerto in D major, Opus 35, Tchaikovsky, arranged by David Oistrakh...Needless to say, the violin was a bit busy this afternoon...
Mmm, there's still the Sibelius concerto I'd love to decipher some time...
